Renting DVDs

I got to tell you guys.. Selene and I can be big sua kus at time. Yesterday night, we ventured to Coles and Safeway with our new found friends in University Mews to get energy saving light bulbs so that their electricity bills wont be sky high..(a trick we learnt from Uncle Chris). after which, Ken mentioned that he had a membership card for the video outlet near our place and that rentals were pretty affordable.

We went in since i wanted to get a copy of Shine to watch for my Mental Health assignment and wow... the amount of DVDs they have puts Videoezy to shame man.. and its cheaper (if you dun convert, maybe about the same when you do) than back home.

for non-new releases, its like 2.50 each if you rent 5 DVDs and they give you a week. Not too bad i thought given that VideoEzy back home is 12.50 for 3 (actually that is cheaper) but i think they too have increased their prices. and the best part, membership is FREE! what have we been doing all those time of feeling sian? but then again, how much tv can you watch until you feel sian? we dun have DVD player, only our own laptops and well, its only 'shiok' to watch if you are watching alone and that in itself is awfully anti-social.

Hoping to maybe rent the others just for fun if i have time.. but looking at my timetable and the vast amounts of readings and processing of all that words... NAH.
