It's the end of Week 2 and things are going well so far but i really got to start on my assignments and alot of them are due in the first week of September! which is like one month from now!!! Just bit by bit i told myself.. at least i wont panic and will have time to review my very bad syntax and grammar.
yesterday night, cooked 'Bang Kuang' aka 'Fried turnip' Didnt take any photos of it but i must say its a success! A little salty though cos i might have added too much soy sauce in my haste to make the colour right. also, because i'm extremely lazy, the turnip slices were not uniform hence it took longer than expected for every piece to be cooked. But hey, edible so who's complaining right?
Met new friends this week, this bunch of 'Singaporean' nurses who just came in July (Ken's friends). i place them as 'Singaporeans' as they studied in Singapore but they are from Nepal. Their father's are Gurkhas (did i spell it right?) in Singapore. One was born in Singapore but the government doesnt grant her citizenship. It's all really fascinating to me. Hope to get to know them better over the semester. =) Selene and I are trying to organise a National Day Celebration of our own this coming thur (while you lucky people are having holiday back home). We have asked the Singaporeans we know and we are hoping to catch the parade on the internet. not sure how yet but if anyone knows how .. do tell me yeah? apparently you can. but lets see how.. Of course not on our
okay, I got to run now. I got work to do, papers to read but i thought i blog a little before the weekend arrives and i have no internet. =)
