We are into our 11th lesson now and i must say, in all honesty, the experience has been bitter sweet. Let me explain.
BSF has been really good as it uses a Four-Fold Approach to learning, comprising of the following:
I really enjoy the daily questions, discussion groups, the study notes as it has many times reminded me of basic Christian teaching which i have forgotten or let slipped over the years.
The only thing that has been very hard to get used to is the style of teaching. Dun get me wrong. there is nothing wrong with the style used. it's just not my cup of tea. I'm so used to the contemporary style that i felt it was a bit conservative.
But the funny thing is, just when i was mentioning to my housemate how bitter sweet BSF was, focusing on the negative, reading of the lecture notes after that (as part of homework) was filled with so much goodie that i was like, 'who says BSF is not good?'. oh well. =)
