A Friday mother daughter(S) outing

Since my Mom and Sis are on leave today, I had completed my first draft of my final essay and my Mom wanted to go shoppping (such a rarity), we decided to head down to town for some good food and shopping, to contribute to the economy. After taking quite a while to decide on our venue for lunch and shopping, we finally decided on our location... Orchard Road. This is very much determined of course, by our food choices as we decided to have lunch at Shimbashi Soba @ Paragon, followed by a visit to PS Cafe at Palais S.C.

Shimbashi Soba, located in the basement of Paragon is ALWAYS crowded. There is always a queue of people waiting outside the restuarant for seats during dinners. It is supposed to be really good, famous for its buckwheat soba. Since my mom really likes soba, we decided to bring her there. Since we are small eaters, we decided to just order two sets and share and boy was that a good move... each lunch set came with sushi, sashimi, tempura, chicken and fruits/tofu with a large bowl of soba. It was yummy but by the end of the meal, we were all stuffed and forcing one another to finish the last chicken, the last sushi, the last sashimi.

We shopped around for my Mom's clothes, walked around Tangs S.C, shoving through the crowds of ladies at the kitchenware section at the basement. At 3pm, my sis announced that she needed a cuppa and so we made our way to our next pitstop, PS Cafe (told ya we are foodies)

PS Cafe @ Palais (Same level of the David Gan Hair Salon) is really really nice. While im not too hot about cakes and deserts nowadays, just enjoying the ambience and atmosphere was more than sufficient for me. Of course we had our cakes and coffee.. =)

Right now, i'm just slumped on the couch again nursing my very sore feet. Tired but happy and satisfied.
