A long day of house haunting

News Updates - Fresh from a tired Tan daughter
House haunting was the agenda for the Tan family staying at Lucky Heights this Sunday afternoon. After fueling up at Crystal Jade @ Parkway with yummy dim sum (as usual the char siew soh there never dissapoints), off they went with vigour and enthusiam.

First stop, Marine Parade Blk 14. That was a pretty potential one for the Tan family, as they considered various factors, location, size, buses available, sea view! It all sounded very highly possible so a call was made to the agent only to the met with sad news that it has been sold already.

Next stop, Home @ Lucky Heights for a afternoon rest before the rounds began. Some stoned in front of the computer, some baked muffins, everyone distressed in their own way before we embarked once again. This time round, the younger Tan sister was the designated driver as Mr Tan had an appointment to go to.

So off they went, to Chai Chee to see a five room flat just 4 storeys above the grandparents. it was in pretty good condition, recently renovated so hmm.. yeah the Tans were optimistic.
With time to spare, a suprise visit to the Chai Chee gang was warranted where notes were exchanged, reports filed, tea cups filled and emptied before the Tans piled into their Toyota Altis and traveled to Bedok South for the third house visit. Slightly bigger in size, (5-room executive) it was pretty bright, the hall was huge and there were 4 rooms. On the third floor, it was pretty quiet though there were playgrounds on all sides. The younger Tan sister's theory is that it's a Sunday afternoon before 5pm and it's still nap nap time.

Let's not diverge, flat was pretty nice, and once again another potential.

By this time, The younger Tan sister was a little grouchy and tired (hope you have guessed who this is by now) and just wanting to leave but Mrs Tan was finding out about how the HDB system worked and the little administration stuff.. So no choice, just stared at the playground, zoning out for awhile.

Once that was done, it was off to Clementi, Sara's place! Now this isnt a place up for sale, but it was a place that the Tan sisters wanted Mrs Tan to have a look. Well done up, it made the HDB 5-room look really good so they wanted to show Mrs Tan the great possibilities a HDB had with some good renovating and interior designing. It was met with good response from both Mr and Mrs Tan which pleased the elder Tan sister greatly.

Not wanting to intrude anymore on Sara, we left to meet the Yangs for dinner. Having fulfilled her duties in the afternoon, the younger Tan sister decided to take a trip down the north line to find her 'friend'. =) Boy did she not realise how far Ang Mo Kio MRT is from Jurong East Station. It took her about 45 mins to get there. But it was worth it, got to people watch on the MRT, stone, and meet her 'friend'.

Summary: long day long day.. tired out now she is the younger Tan sister. But all in a day's work.
