Final Day in the Lab

After 5 weeks of open lab (project work), my partners and I FINALLY finished up our lab work! phew! However, after putting in so much effort redoing about three times, the one which seems to have the most protein desired is the first method! Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography! And to think we could have completed it weeks ago!

Sigh.

ON the hind sight, doing this lab module has made me more interested in school work, biochem to be more precise. Life aint so boring now. Just really want to thank God for making it smooth sailing this semester. Biochemistry is really interesting. LIke in the lab i am in now, we learn the methods of purifiying our desired enzyme from a ton of other non-desirable proteins.

with the advance technology and world class labs we have in NUS, doing expt havent been that traumatic.
I have learnt to be thankful of the good facilities an undergraduate life Sci student gets in terms of machinery. As my TA was telling me, they have to share only ONE spectro on the whole 3rd level while in one lab, we have like more than 10 spectros! Amazing!

Well, on a more depressing note, my 4 tests are haunting me! and i have not even finished studying for bahasa on Sat! Freaking out!
