Today, i went for my very first Campus Crusade Staff meeting @ Boon Keng together with other fellow STINTers Daniel, Haiks, Manson. It was really interesting really, quite funny and interesting.

1. in Ecc1:2, the NIV version says "Meaningless! meaningless!" is actually a translation of the greek word (in english) of vapour. In this essence, there can be 3 different understandings:

a) lacking of concrete substance - fruitless, futile
b) disappears quickly like mist (from liquid state to gaseous state) - short lived; transient; fleeting
c) cannot be grasped - mysterious, enigmatic.

Often when i read (or even sang before with Victoria Chorale) i have had a one dimensional view of this word meaningless. Replacing every word "meaningless" with the word "vapour " really gives you a different perspective of the book Ecc.

Go try it. Challenging but interesting.
